Why do you volunteer and/or serve on the BOD?

I grew up in the military. My Father was active duty US Navy for more than 30 years. I saw him working with his men through their trials and tribulations first hand. This left a permanent impression on me. When I saw the way The Baltimore Station helped veterans and the lasting changes they had on their lives, I was in.

What do you enjoy most about being on the BOD?

I enjoy and admire the diverse talent and commitment of everyone that works at The Station and the BOD. We share the same goals and bring great ideas to the table with one single focus: to get things done for the men.

What’s your best memory of working at The Station?

Dinner with the men. I love when the ice breaks and the conversation flows. I will never forget their stories.

What would you say to someone thinking about volunteering or interested in serving on our board?

The mission and the people are amazing. It will be one of the most rewarding things you will do in your life. There is nothing better than giving your talents to an amazing cause that is making a difference in so many people’s lives.
