Praxis Engineering, a leading provider of software development and system engineering, service, and solutions to the Federal Government, is thrilled to announce that Praxis, along with over 40 sponsors, and roughly 250 golfers came together and raised $35,000 to benefit The Baltimore Station! After having to postpone due to the rainiest week in May, on June 6 most were able to rework their schedules to be with us on a truly beautiful day at Compass Pointe Golf Courses (Pasadena, MD) for the 12th Annual Charity Golf Tournament. This year, we chose to donate money raised through golfer’s fees, sponsors’ donations, dream-package purchases, and raffle ticket sales to The Baltimore Station, a therapeutic residential treatment facility for homeless veterans in Baltimore. “We are so very fortunate to be part of a community and industry that really cares about the struggles of our veterans”, stated Jerry Schepers, Vice President of Praxis Engineering.

The Baltimore Station focuses on transitioning its residents through the cycle of poverty, addiction, and homelessness to self-sufficiency. Alcohol and drug education, counseling and group therapy, and professional development are all included in the Station’s services, where residents are free to recover at their own pace. Their highly structured program includes practical lessons to develop life skills that will transfer to the real world.

Bill Dunahoo, President of Praxis Engineering, remarks “Giving back is a core value here at Praxis. We’re proud to know that the funds raised will directly impact the lives of veterans in our local community. We look forward to partnering with The Baltimore Station on other events and programs in the future.”
